We are excited to announce that Manufacturing Engineering student Riley Horner won the Top Undergraduate Award Competition for her presentation on 'Engineering Approach Used in Hydroponic Designs and Automation at the 2018 Aerodef Conference' earlier this week in Long Beach, California. Contributor on this presentation was Manufacturing Engineering Sophomore Elizabeth Alvizo.

Ms. Alvizo also presented her own research at the conference on 'Preventing Failure and Catastrophe in Precision Farming System Utilizing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).' The final conference presenter, Electrical Engineering Junior Mohamed Sghari, performed very well during his research presentation titled 'Thermoacoutic Refrigerator.'

All three students currently work under Associate Professor for the Ingram School of Engineering, Dr. Bahram Asiabanpour.
