Manufacturing Engineering Students Win Second Place in the SME Inaugural International Student Competition
A team of Texas State University-San Marcos manufacturing engineering students participated in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) 2012 inaugural student competition, which took place June 3-5 in Cleveland, OH. This group included Megan Taylor and Ralph Shultz who graduated last semester and are currently employed by prestigious companies. In this competition, one submission per university was allowed. Two students, Esmer Trevino and Hector Avila presented their project in this conference on behalf of the entire team which and this team was nominated by the Texas State SME student chapter as they won 2011 Texas State’s best product design award among all manufacturing engineering senior design projects.
