The Future City program is a middle school design competition geared to encourage creativity, engineering, and planning to inspire future leaders in the field of Engineering. The competition is sponsored by the IEEE, and Texas State University – San Marcos will be hosting the Central Texas Future City competition each January. This year more than 200 people and 30 teams from local schools congregated at the Ingram School of Engineering to compete. The winner earned an all expenses paid trip to Washington DC for the national competition. Thanks to the excellent stewardship and hard work exhibited by IEEE student branch volunteers, the event was a success!
