Research Interests:

  • Traffic-handling protocols - Traffic-handling protocols follow rubrics (some complex, some simple) to determine when a channel may be allocated to a user. Ultimately, all rubrics end in the simply yes/no or allocate/do not allocate decision.

  • Error control coding - Certain communication systems possess the ability to detect and correct errors in received messages (wireless or wired). Through abstract math skills, one may determine which communication systems may detect received errors and whether or not the system may correct the received errors.

  • Engineering education - Through technology, new teaching techniques allow for improved classroom interaction. The improved classroom interaction would make future engineers more desirable in the highly competitive job market today and tomorrow.
