Dr. Namwon Kim receives research fund

Dr. Namwon Kim, Manufacturing Engineering faculty of the Ingram School of Engineering, has been awarded a $110,000 grant from the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund (ACS PRF) New Directions award for his research titled, “Computational and Experimental Investigations of Wormlike Micellar Fluids for Enhanced Oil Recovery.”

The Petroleum Research Fund is an endowed fund, managed by the American Chemical Society that supports fundamental research directly related to petroleum or fossil fuels at nonprofit institutions in the United States and other countries.
