This research addresses the critical need for a comprehensive charging infrastructure to support Texas' transition to net-zero transportation, projecting the growth of EVs to 45 million by 2040. Utilizing forecasting models and the EVI-Projection Tool, the study determines the required number and power levels of chargers, while also incorporating renewable energy sources like solar and wind to power the infrastructure sustainably. By strategically allocating stations across 54 cities and major transportation routes, the proposed scenarios aim to minimize emissions, alleviate charging congestion, and improve user experience, crucial steps towards achieving Texas' net-zero energy goals in transportation.
